Kelly's Heroes is a 1970 World War II comedy drama heist film directed by Brian G. Hutton. It follows a group of American GIs who go AWOL in order to steal Nazi gold from a bank in France.

Plot

When he leads an offbeat group in a dash through enemy-held territory on a purely selfish quest, he is mistaken for a hero by the military in this dark comedy. The soldiers encounter many obstacles along the way, including enemy soldiers, treacherous terrain, and mechanical problems. Despite the challenges, they eventually reach the bank and steal the gold.
